A Comprehensive Assessment of Your Hearing Health

We use a step-by-step approach to develop your Personalized Hearing Health Assessment (PHHA). This simple assessment, puts you in control of deciding the best solution for your individual hearing needs. In addition, your Beltone hearing care professional will get to know you, and discuss the activities that are most important to you. This way, we'll make a hearing aid recommendation that suits your personal lifestyle as well as your budget.

After discussing the results of your hearing assessment, you will begin your hearing screening to  find out whether or not you have a hearing loss. From there, your hearing care professional will consult with you on next steps for your hearing care needs.

Video Ear Scan

Beltone of Wisconsin is equipped with a machine called a video otoscope, which a Beltone Hearing Instrument Specialist uses to inspects the inside of your ear canal. Using the video ear scan, our Hearing Instrument Specialist is able to see if there is excessive buildup of earwax or some other sort of blockage.  Sometimes hearing problems can be rectified by simply removing wax!

Comprehensive Audiometric Hearing Test

What is an Audiometric Hearing Test?

Using a computerized hearing test, a Beltone Hearing Instrument Specialist will measure your hearing sensitivity at various frequencies and develop an understanding of how you hear speech in different listening environments. The Audiometric hearing test will tell us exactly what sounds you are hearing and what sounds you are missing. We'll guide you through the process every step of the way.

Speech Understanding Assessment:

      • This test determines how well you can understand conversations and spoken words in both quiet and noisy environments.

Pure Tone Test:

      • This test precisely measures hearing ability across the full spectrum of sound. If your hearing is within normal range, the hearing test is complete.

Bone Conduction Test:

      • This test identifies where hearing loss is occurs within your ear. If your hearing isn't normal, we'll be able to determine whether a hearing difficulty is the result of an inner or middle ear function problem.

Ear Anatomy:

    • We will make sure you have a complete understanding of your hearing loss and we'll explain how your ear works so you can fully understand your test results.

Live Hearing Aid Demonstrations

Experience the difference our hearing aids can make. Take a hearing aid "test drive" to see what the hearing aid experience is all about. We adjust the comfort level of the devices before you leave the office. This means, you'll be able to try before you buy, so you can be as confidant as we are in the line of Beltone hearing aids.
